The Lord ‘delivers’..!

This happened to my sister almost a month ago. My sister was reaching the final stages of her pregnancy when she got her labour pain. Coming from a remote village in AP (Atmakur) with not very great medical facilities, my parents and brother-in-law immediately rushed her into a nursing home nearby. The doctor was diagnosing her for almost four hours while my parents and others were waiting eagerly for the auspicious delivery news. However, the doctor, after a long time, came up and told us that the issue was very critical and she had to be taken to the town hospital.

The story was that my sister had lost all her amniotic fluid (a fluid very integral for pregnancy) and we learnt from the people there that if at all such a case occurs, the woman should be operated within the next 30 minutes; but here was my sister still standing and not knowing how to reach the nearby town. A typical journey to the town (Kurnool) takes 2 hours at the minimum. Meanwhile I was at the Narasimha Temple, completely tensed and very anxiously praying to the Lord. In this gap of time, I did an archana to Lord Narasimha on my sister’s name, and tight here flowed the mercy!

My parents there very soon managed to hire a van which would take them to the town. This was the mercy of Lord manifested, as the day this happened was the day next to Sivaratri when the whole village shuts down after stretching the previous night. The van started and to everyone’s surprise, the vehicle reached in a record time of 45 minutes! My sister too was desperately begging the Lord and chanting His names all through the journey. The surgery was performed immediately and she delivered a beautiful baby boy. The kid was in fact were active, quite opposed to the fact that Caesarean-operated kids are generally drowsy at birth. My sister and the child are hale and healthy now. I’m still thinking if ever I have made a journey to the town in 45 mins, and whenever I think of this, I give up convincing myself that it was completely Lord Narasimha’s arrangement!

அவர் வருவாரா?... அம்மா!

என் பெயர் உமா. எனக்கு நவீன், ப்ரவீன் என்று இரண்டு குழந்தைகள். நான் ஒரு சிவபக்தை. 'அழகியான்' சன்னிதி நிறுவனரும், 'ஸ்வாதித்திருநாள்' பத்திரிகை ஆசிரியருமான அண்ணன் கலியன்பொன்னடி கோதண்டராம ராமாநுஜதாஸன் அவர்களது வார்த்தைகளின் மூலமாக திருமாலின் பெருமைகளைக் கேட்டு, பெருமாள் மேல் ஈர்ப்பு ஏற்பட்டது. எப்படியாவது 108திவ்யதேசங்களில் பகவானது திருவுருவை தரிசிக்கவும், திருவடிகளை சேவிக்கவும் ஆர்வமும், ஆசையும் ஏற்பட்டது. இன்றுவரை அவன் அருளாலே சுமார் 80க்கும் மேற்பட்ட திவ்யதேசங்களை தரிசித்துள்ளேன். ஸர்வம் கிருஷ்ணார்ப்பணம்.

அந்த திவ்யதேச யாத்திரையின் போது எனக்கு ஏற்பட்ட ஒரு அனுபவத்தை உங்களுடன் பகிர்ந்துகொள்கிறேன்.

ஒருமுறை என் குழந்தைகளை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு, காவிரிக்கரையில் அமைந்திருக்கும் சோழநாட்டு திவ்யதேசமான 'திரு அன்பில்' என்னும் க்ஷேத்திரத்துக்குச் சென்று அங்கு குடிகொண்டிருக்கும் 'வடிவழகிய நம்பி'யை சேவித்துமகிழ்ந்தேன். இந்த திவ்யதேசத்திற்கு நேர் எதிரே காவிரியின் மறுகரையில் மற்றொரு திவ்யதேசமான 'திருப்பேர்நகர்' இருப்பதை அங்கிருப்பவர்கள் மூலமாக அறிந்துகொண்டேன். காரில் ஏறிச்சென்றால் சுமார் 30கி.மீ சுற்றி காவிரிப்பாலத்தைக் கடந்துவரவேண்டும். எனவே காரை இக்கரையிலேயே நிறுத்திவிட்டு, வறண்டுகிடந்த காவிரி மணற்பரப்பில் குழந்தைகளை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு என் கணவரும் நானும் திருப்பேர்நகரில் குடிகொண்டிருக்கும் 'அப்பக்குடத்தானை'க் காணவேண்டி நடக்க ஆரம்பித்தோம். அப்போது காலை சுமார் 7மணி இருக்கும். இயற்கை எழிலை அனுபவித்துக்கொண்டும், பெருமாளின் பெருமைகளைப் பேசிக்கொண்டும் நாங்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியொடு நடந்தோம். அப்போது நான் என் குழந்தைகளிடம், "எப்பொழுதெல்லாம் தர்மம் அழிந்து அதர்மம் தலைதூக்குகிறதோ! அப்பொழுதெல்லாம் நான் மீண்டும் பிறந்துவருவேன்" என கிருஷ்ணபரமாத்மா கூறியிருப்பதை எடுத்துச் சொன்னேன்.

உடனே குழந்தைகள் ஆர்வமாக, "நமக்கு கஷ்டம் ஏற்படும்போது அவசியம் பெருமாள் வருவாரா? அம்மா! " என்று கேட்டார்கள். நான் உடனே "ஒன்று அவர் வருவார் ; அல்லது அவரது பிரதிநிதியாக யாரையாவது அனுப்பிவைப்பார்" என்றேன்.

திருப்பேர்நகர் கோயிலை அடைந்தோம். அப்பக்குடத்தானை மனம் உருகி ஆனந்தமாக ப்ரார்த்தனை செய்தோம். "என்ன தவம் செய்தோம் இப்பிறவியில் ; கருணைக்கடலாம் அவன் அருள்பெற" என்று எண்ணி, அவன் பாதங்களில் நெஞ்சம் நிறைந்த நன்றியை சமர்ப்பித்தோம். கோயிலில் தரிசனம் முடிந்து மறுகரைக்கு நடக்க ஆரம்பித்தோம். நேரம் நண்பகல் 12மணி ; உச்சியிலிருந்து சூரியன் சுட்டெரித்துக்கொண்டு இருந்தான். ஆற்றுமணலில் கால்வைத்த உடன் சுட்டெரிக்கும் உஷ்ணத்தை உணர்ந்தபோதுதான் காலையில் புறப்படும்போது மிதியடிகளை காரிலே விட்டுவிட்டு வந்தது நினைவுக்கு வந்தது. வரும்போது காலைநேரம் என்பதால் காலில் செருப்பின்றி ஆனந்தமாக ஆற்றில் நடந்துவந்து விட்டோம்.

ஆனால் இப்போதோ! ஒரு அடிக்கு மறு அடி எடுத்து வைக்க இயலவில்லை. எனக்கே கால்கள் நோகும்போது, குழந்தைகளின் பிஞ்சுப்பாதங்கள் படும்பாட்டைச் சொல்லவேண்டியதே இல்லை. அவர்களுக்குக் கண்களில் கண்ணீரே வந்துவிட்டது. என் கணவர் அவரது தோளில் போட்டிருந்த துண்டை மணற்பரப்பில் விரித்து, அதன் மேல் சிலநேரம் குழந்தைகளின் பிஞ்சுப்பாதங்கள்படும்படி நிற்கவைத்து சமாதானப்படுத்தியபடி வந்தார். "அப்பக்குடத்தானே! உன்னைத் தரிசித்துவிட்டுவரும் எங்களுக்கு இப்படி ஒரு சோதனையா? நீயே அபயம்" என்று அவனிடம் கதறினேன்.

திடீரென்று "ஜல்-ஜல்" என்று ஒரு சத்தம். பின்புறமிருந்து மாட்டுவண்டி ஒன்று ஆற்றுமணல் ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு வந்துகொண்டிருந்தது. எங்கள் அருகில் வந்ததும் அதனை ஓட்டிவந்த இளைஞன் வண்டியை நிறுத்தி, எங்களை அதில் ஏறிக்கொள்ளச் சொல்லிச் சொன்னான். சுமார் பத்து நிமிடத்தில் மறுகரையில் எங்களை இறக்கிவிட்டுவிட்டான்.

அந்த இளைஞனுக்கு நன்றிகூறிவிட்டு காரில் ஏறி எங்கள் பயணத்தைத் தொடர்ந்தோம். குழந்தைகள் இருவரும் களைப்பில் அயர்ந்து தூங்க ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டனர். திடீரென்று பெரியவன் நவீன் எழுந்து உட்கார்ந்துகொண்டு எதையோ யோசிக்க ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டான். "என்ன நவீன்! சிந்தனை பலமாக இருக்கிறதே!" என்றேன். அதற்கு அவன் "அம்மா! நீங்கள் கோயிலுக்குச் செல்லும்போது சொல்லியது நிஜம்தான்.... நமக்குக் கஷ்டம் வரும்போது பெருமாள் வருவார் என்பது உண்மைதான்" என்றான்.

"என்னப்பா சொல்கிறாய்" என்றேன். " அம்மா! நமக்குக் கால் சூடு தாங்கவில்லை - என்று அழுத குரல் கேட்டு அப்பக்குடத்தானேதான் மாட்டுவண்டியில் வந்து நமக்கு உதவியிருக்கிறார்" என்றான். "எப்படி அப்பா?" என்றேன். "வண்டி ஓட்டி வந்த அந்த அண்ணன் பெயரை வரும்போது கேட்டேன் ; 'சீனுவாசன்' என்றார் அம்மா" என்றான். குழந்தை கூறியதுகேட்டு எனது இதயம் ஒருமுறை நின்று துடித்தது. "என் கண்ணே!" என்று அவனை வாரி அணைத்துக்கொண்டேன்.

இன்றைக்கும் இந்த நிகழ்வை எண்ணிப்பார்க்கும்போதேல்லாம் என் கண்களில் கண்ணீர் முட்டுவதை என்னால் தவிர்க்கமுடியவில்லை. இதோ! இக்கட்டுரையை எழுதும் இவ்வேளையிலும் கண்ணீரோடேயே எழுதிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றேன்.

நம்பியவர்களுக்கு ஸ்ரீமந்நாராயணன் தெய்வம் மட்டுமில்லை - சேவகனாகவும் அருளுவான்.

108 திவ்யதேச யாத்திரை தொடங்கிய நாள் முதலாக என் குடும்பத்தில் நிலவி வந்த பிரச்சினைகளெல்லாம் சீராகி, நாங்கள் நிறைவான - சந்தோஷமான வாழ்க்கை நடத்திவருகிறோம். இது ப்ரத்யக்ஷமான உண்மை.

"வைணவ திவ்யதேச ஸ்தலங்கள் நூற்றி எட்டினையும்ஸ்ரீமதே ராமாநுஜாய நம! எனப் போற்றிப் பணிந்திடுவோம்!"

அருள்மிகு அப்பக்குடத்தான்

Sri Lakshmi Narasimharin ellaiyilla karunyam....

Every sat we as a family will sit together, and will recite 32 mantra raja patha slokam...with 32 lamps lit and with different types of flowers... we all love that part of the week so much :)

This happened on first week of February.
We had planned our divyadesam trip on second week of February. We had invited about 30 bakthas..

For the past 6 months, we were thinking/planning about our trip to kanchipuram. (we stay in singapore)

my kid ShreeSimhan, loves our quiz time before sleeping....
           "which perumal have kal kudirai as Vahanam?..

            nilla thingal thundam perumal ennga irukaru,

... wow... wonderful days...
perumala pakkarathu oru sugamna .. pesarathu atha vida sugam....

Our previous trip was to Ahobilam, and each person in our group felt so much excited and blessed...

Few days before this Kanchipuram trip, because of heat i had a heat burn near my leg area, and it became worse day by day.

Couple of days before our India trip, on a sat, just before our regular Sat puja, I really couldnt bear it...We just had 2 days for our trip... i felt too much pain while taking each step... I was not able to walk from my room to puja room even....

And with tears i sat for the puja...I was not able to sit too.. With tears i started the first mantra raja patha slokam...for the second one, i learned to adjust my posture so that i can continue my puja....

All i wanted was the trip should happen and all 30 of us should get that wonderful feeling of being blessed by our narasimha perumal....

after finishing 32 mantra raja patha slokam, i stood up slowly...
i swear on my kid... the burn has vanished.... with tears im writing this...
im not worth it... im not worth it.. im not worth even a bit of his karunyam.... but i need it...
