Annamayya song on Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar - phalanetranala prabalavidyullata

Sri Annamayya was a staunch devotee of Tirumala Govinda (Krishna) and composed a huge number (32,000) of sankirtanas on Him. He descended in the Sri Sampradaya and it is known that he is an incarnation of the Lord's divine sword called "nandaka."

Once he was requested by the King Shaluva to compose a song on him. For this Annamayya boldly refused. This provoked the King and he ordered his servants to shackle and whip (beat) Annamayya till he sings a song on the King. But Annamayya sings a song on Lord Narasimha, who protected His pure devotee Sri Prahlada. Similarly, the Lord saves Annamayya too by making the shackled iron chains cut into pieces. This action converts the bad King to a great devotee and disciple of Sri Annamayya. Later the King preserved all Annamayya's sankirtanas in copper plates. Now enjoy that divine song along with the show...
